Magic Lamp Stained Glass Panel

If you have not tried Opal Art by Spectrum glass in your flat panel work...you are in for a treat. Of course the great color selection with their multi-toned swirls make Opal Art ideal for fusing and slumping work, but try it with your pattern work.

From misty skies to grassy landscapes, you will find this a magical glass. In this panel I have used several of the Opal Art colors to create wisps of smoke from a magic lantern. To give the lantern dimension, I have fused a layer of glass enhanced with 22 kt fused decals onto the body and collar of the lantern. Curved wire work emanating from the swirls also provides an appearance of subtle vapors.
